Notary Public vs. Mobile Notary

The main difference between a notary public and a mobile notary is that a mobile notary travels to the customer’s location to perform basic notarizations, while the customer visits the notary public. Some states may charge additional travel fees for mobile notary services.

A notary public is a public official appointed by a state government to help prevent fraud. They witness the signing of important documents, verify the identity of the signer(s), and confirm that they are aware of the document’s contents and are willing to sign it.
